We took 3 of our crew to the International Dog Show May 14th and 15th. They all received their International Champion title by getting a V-1 rating on their written critique from 4 different judges, one of which was an International judge. The best part was that Olivia won Best in Breed and then Best in Working group on Show One. Lacey got Best in Breed and then Reserve Best in Group on Show Two. Lacey got Best in Breed, Best in Working Group and Reserve Best in Show for Show 3. Show 4, Olivia got Best in Breed. So all in all, we were VERY proud of our dogs and they showed very well. The wins really mean more to us than the title.
It was Gary's first time in the ring and without much practice. He was a little overwhelmed by it all and so was shy. He got wonderful remarks on his critiques, because he is a gorgeous, well put together boy and so he got his championship title also. We might not put Gary through this again because he was one who just wasn't happy being there. We'll see. maybe after his first time out, he'll understand it more and learn to like it.
It was such a fun weekend! We took our camper and stayed right at the fairgrounds the whole time. We saw dog people who we know and enjoy and met some new people. I also was introduced to some new breeds such as the Lagato and the Pedengo. It was fun to learn about them.
We're home now and back to work! Trusses are being set today for our roof! Yippee!!!
